Hello and welcome to our birman website. My name is Michele and my husband is Jason. We live in the beautiful countryside of Fernvale, located in South East QLD. We have owned birmans for 12 years now and we now breed and show them. We are only a small cattery and our kittens are born and raised in our home in a loving and caring environment. We have 3 children and a German Shepherd and a miniature Dachshund, so our kittens will be used to dogs and child friendly. I am a Certified Vet Nurse employed at the Brassall and Karalee Karana Vet surgeries so all our kittens are in the best of health. Before they go to their forever homes, they are vet checked, vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed and litter trained.
I am a registered member of the Queensland Feline Association. We proudly breed seal,blue, chocolate and lilac point kittens.
THE LEGEND OF THE SACRED CAT OF BURMA The Sacred Cat of Burma - Legend has it that in Lao-Tsun, a temple in Western Burma, a priest named Mun-Ha knelt in adoration each night before a statue of Tsun-Kyan-Kse. She was a blue-eyed goddess who presided over the transmutation of souls. Each night while Mun-Ha prayed, a sacred cat named Sinh was at his side. One evening, the temple was overrun by Siamese invaders who took the life of Mun-Ha. Sinh immediately stood guard over his fallen master, with his front paws on Mun-Ha's head, facing the statue of Tsun-Kyan-Kse. A wondrous transformation occurred and his coat, which had been entirely white, took on the golden glow from the statue. Sinh's yellow eyes turned a deep saphire blue and his legs were suffused with a warm, brown velvet tone. His four feet however remained sparkling white as a sign of the purity of Mun-Ha's soul. The next morning, all the other cats in the temple had been transformed too. Sinh remained at his master's side for 7 days until he died carrying with him the soul of Mun-Ha.
